How to book the Melba Spiegeltent

The Melba Spiegeltent is the perfect venue for festivals, shows, corporate functions, workshops, parties, commitment ceremonies and other acts of joyful celebration. 

The Melba bar is stocked with fabulous wine from Innocent Bystander, and beer from Hawkers.

There is no onsite caterer at Circus Oz but we can provide recommendations of catering companies in the area and the surrounding streets of Collingwood are renowned for excellent eats.

Features

The Melba Spiegeltent was built as a performance venue so it doesn't need much added to it. The acoustics are perfect for music with little amplification needed, and the sightlines are great for the whole audience.

We have heating/airconditioning, basic lighting rig, sound system, star cloth curtain, cabaret tables, chairs, versatile seating arrangements, stage with or without catwalk, and rigging for aerial performances.

What we don't have: wireless microphones, moving lights (although we do have a follow spot), or a complete black out.

We are located in an active area of Collingwood – whilst every effort is made to control the area, we do still have ambient sound bleed from the surrounding activity.

Seated: up to 230 theatre style seating with standard stageing (no catwalk)
Standing (with outer ring booths): 250

Included in your venue hire 

Venue Technician, Venue Manager, bar staff and small dressing room.

Whilst we do our best to accommodate all weird and wonderful requests, there are some things that we just can't do: no tape of any kind to be used on the tent itself, no nails or screws, anything that is brought into the venue must be biodegradable, no outside alcholic beverages.
